The B08 is a .68 caliber ball crossbow with an 8-round interchangeable magazine.
It can use all standard .68 caliber projectiles, such as paintballs, chalk balls, or solid projectiles like plastic balls.

The B08 is designed as a sporting weapon for recreational shooting or paintball and comes equipped with a 35 lb bow. Stronger bows are available separately. All limbs with an AR-Series mounting block are compatible.

The B08 functions like all our AR-Series crossbows: At the push of a button, the upper receiver swings up and a limb is inserted. The interchangeable magazine can be pre-loaded with 8 balls and then inserted into the upper receiver. Thanks to the quick-release system, you are then ready to fire in a flash, and the 8 balls can be fired in rapid succession. The sight rail allows for excellent target acquisition and the mounting of optics such as red dot sights or telescopic sights.

The B08 is lightweight and robust enough to withstand even the toughest use on paintball fields, but it's also great fun for shooting at empty soda cans in your own backyard.

With the right paintballs—soft or bursting—and a low-powered bow, the B08 is very safe and, provided you wear safety goggles, can even be used safely indoors.

Caution: The B08 is sufficiently harmless in its standard configuration for playing paintball or shooting at each other. However, always wear protective gear such as a suitable paintball mask. And be sure to use paintballs specifically designed for paintball! The paintballs included are not soft enough to prevent injuries. The included safety goggles are not suitable for paintball because they can slip too easily and therefore do not provide adequate protection. However,

with stronger limbs and harder or heavier paintballs, the situation changes drastically, and the B08 can become, under certain circumstances, very dangerous. Use of the B08 in this case is at your own risk. The B08 crossbow with its powerful limbs poses at least as much of a danger as a crossbow firing arrows. The B08 features a patented slide that smoothly accelerates and fires even liquid- or powder-filled bullets without damage. The slide is very lightweight and durable. When using heavier limbs, ensure the bullet weight is sufficient. This is especially important with the B08 because many available .68 caliber bullets are very light. Using bullets that are too light relative to the limb weight will lead to increased string wear and, in the worst case, slide breakage. The slide is available as a spare part.

These arrows are optimized for maximum impact at short range – ideal for distances from 0 to approximately 25 meters. This is achieved through a high total weight. The hunting arrow features an aluminum nock, an extremely durable carbon shaft, a steel blade holder, and a solid, sharp AUS-8 steel tip (blade thickness: 1.3 mm). The arrowheads are black-coated for easier identification. Thanks to the robust blade design, this arrow is capable of penetrating heavy clothing or gear. Therefore, extreme caution is advised when handling these arrows. The blade holder is permanently bonded to the shaft to ensure the blades are always perfectly aligned. The blade is screwed in and replaceable.

Note: The “7.5x220 mm” arrow caliber is very similar to the so-called 7.5” arrows. Unfortunately, these arrows are not standardized and are offered in widely varying quality. PD-5 Repeating Crossbow – Made for the Highest Demands
The concept of our PD-5 is easy to explain: The range, penetration, and effect of a full-size repeating crossbow in the size of our compact and manageable AR-Series platform.
The result is a very compact crossbow weighing less than 2 kg, which is easy to handle and ideal for use indoors, in undergrowth, and in confined spaces. The significantly longer operating range of 50 meters is achieved by using larger arrows.
During the development of the PD-5, great emphasis was placed on ergonomics. The fastest possible target acquisition and handling that corresponds to a real firearm enable a fast, effective first hit.
Fast follow-up shots, even with high projectile energy, are easily achieved thanks to the robust quick-cocking system. The resulting leverage enables astonishing performance while still maintaining manageable cocking forces.

PD-5 Professional:
This version is optimized for use as a defense weapon or for security personnel. The main differences are the sight, limb, and included arrows.
Sight:
The PD-5 Professional is equipped with a tritium night sight from Meprolight™, which provides a clear sight image even in complete darkness.*
Limb:
The PD-5 Professional comes with our new "Protector" limb. This bow delivers an energy of just over 30 joules and an arrow speed of 235 fps with our hunting arrows. All other optional AR-Series limbs can also be used.**
Arrows
The PD-5 Professional is supplied with 5 hunting arrows. We recommend that you train with the same arrows that you use in action, as the handling and point of impact of the different arrow types differ.

Main features of the Steambow PD-5
• Fast & robust cocking mechanism
The PD-5 uses our tried and tested folding cocking system, but in a reinforced and improved form. This “reinforced tactical lower” is more robust and can now withstand significantly higher clamping forces, not least thanks to the solid cocking mechanism. The attachment of the PD-5 upper to the lower is made of stainless steel.
• Sight rail & optics
All types of optics can be mounted on the continuous Picatinny rail on the top: from small or large red dot sights to large rifle scopes. The entire rail is infinitely adjustable in angle. This means that even high-quality optics from the firearms sector can be used, which usually have a very small adjustment range.
• Unparalleled precision
The PD-5 is our most precise repeating crossbow. With stronger bows from 100 lbs and suitable optics, the practical range is around 50 meters. Of course, longer shooting distances are also possible for sporting use.
• Materials & quality
The PD-5 upper is milled from solid high-strength 7075 aircraft aluminum and has a black, glass-hard anodized surface. Parts of the PD-5 that are subject to particular stress are made of steel, such as the attachment of the upper to the lower and the two tension rods. The base body and all attachments are made of glass fiber reinforced nylon polymer with a glass content of up to 40%.
This makes the PD-5 extremely resistant to the effects of weather and mechanical stress - ideal for use in harsh conditions. All parts have a low-reflection black coating or are made of black plastic.
• Disassembly & limb change:
By pulling out a pin, the upper can be pivoted upwards and the limb removed. Furthermore, the PD-5 comes standard with our folding stock system, allowing it to be folded down to a very small size. The small pack size is perfect for storing the PD-5 in places with limited space, such as a car.
• Arrows & magazine
: The PD-5's integrated magazine holds five 7.5x220mm arrows with a variety of bullet types. We recommend using only original Steambow arrows and offer sport arrows, bodkins, and hunting arrows.
The magazine cover opens at the push of a button, allowing you to reload arrows whenever the tactical situation allows. For a fast, complete reload, we have developed speedloaders for 5 arrows.***

This is achieved through a lighter construction with a fiberglass-reinforced nylon™ nock and a lightweight stainless steel blade (1.0 mm thick). The balanced weight gives the arrow excellent flight characteristics and thus a long range. The aluminum blade holder is bonded to the shaft, and the blades are screwed in and replaceable.

Note: The arrow caliber "7.5x220 mm" is very similar to so-called 7.5" arrows. Unfortunately, these arrows are not standardized and are offered in widely varying qualities. The PD-5 speedloaders are arrow holders that function like “stripper clips.” Each container holds 5 arrows. The arrows are safely stored in the speedloader, and even broadheads pose no risk of injury.
To use the speedloader, simply place it onto the open PD-5 and press the arrows into the PD-5 with one smooth motion.

The speedloaders fit well into magazine pouches and can also be mounted laterally on the PD-5 via the Picatinny rail.
The speedloader is manufactured by 3D printing from PETG, a very rigid and tough plastic. The product consists of a speedloader suitable for 7.5" or 7.5×220 mm bolts.

Note: The “7.5x220 mm” arrow caliber is very similar to the so-called 7.5” arrows. Unfortunately, these arrows are not standardized and are available in widely varying quality. With draw weights up to 90 lbs, most 7.5” arrows will work well in the PD-5. A key difference of the 7.5x220 mm arrows is the use of a flat nock instead of the more common half-moon nock.
The 220 mm represents the maximum allowable length for arrows in this caliber.

These arrows were developed to achieve maximum power and penetration at short distances. To achieve this performance, the heaviest possible components were chosen: an aluminum nock, a very robust carbon shaft, a brass insert, and a solid stainless steel bodkin point. This point is only conditionally suitable for training or target shooting because the pentagonal bodkin point puts considerable stress on the targets. However, the bodkin point can be replaced with standard screw-in points. Therefore, these arrows also make an excellent base for stable short-range practice arrows. Bodkin arrows are also the best alternative for hunting when conventional hunting arrows with a cutting edge are unavailable.

This string is made from 100% Dyneema®, making it extremely durable and robust. The center serving is made from BCY Halo™, one of the best materials available for string servings, allowing for a high number of shots before it needs replacement. With regular maintenance of the center serving, this string can be used for many years. We recommend checking the string for visible damage before each use.

Note: This string is slightly shorter than the strings for “standard” AR-Series limbs.
Make sure to maintain the correct brace height of 65 mm (measured from the string to the inside of the limb).

The M10 is made from a high-strength polymer with an extremely high proportion of glass fibers. Thanks to this very stable and lightweight material, our M10 is incredibly easy to handle and can be used at lightning speed. The low overall weight also has a positive effect when transporting the crossbow. The crossbow can be dismantled for transportation and can be made ready for use in just a few seconds.

Fast & precise
Its lightning-fast target acquisition, high precision and extreme reliability make it an excellent choice for all demanding applications, be it personal protection, dynamic shooting or hunting.
Thanks to the quick-release system, the M10 can be reloaded in a fraction of a second, allowing experienced shooters to achieve an impressive rate of fire.
The rear sight of the M10 has a highly visible illuminated front sight. The point of impact can be easily selected using different rear sights. The buttstock with height-adjustable cheek rest is adjustable in length in several positions.

Maximum firepower
10 arrows fit into each of the removable magazines. All types of 6.2 x 162 mm arrows can be loaded, e.g. hunting arrows, bodkin arrows or sporting arrows. The magazines are approximately the size of STANAG magazines (e.g. for an AR-15/M-4) and can be easily transported in most magazine pouches.

Safety & practicality
Another new feature is the manual safety, which deactivates the crossbow completely when required and can be operated with both hands. A total of 4 Picatinny rails allow the mounting of accessories such as weapon lights, laser sights and much more.

The B08 is a ball crossbow in caliber .68 with an 8-shot removable magazine.
All commercially available .68 projectiles can be used, such as paintballs, chalk balls or solid projectiles like plastic pellets.

The B08 was developed as a sporting device for recreational shooting or paintball and is supplied by us with the 35 lbs bow. Stronger bows are available separately. All limbs with AR-Series mounting block fit.

The B08 works like all our AR-Series crossbows: at the push of a button you can tilt the Upper up and insert a launching arm. The detachable magazine can be preloaded with 8 balls and then inserted into the Upper. Thanks to the quick-clamp system you are then ready to fire in no time and the 8 balls can be fired rapidly one after another. The sight rail allows excellent target acquisition and the mounting of optics such as red dot sights or scopes.

The B08 is light and robust enough to withstand even the toughest use on paintball fields, but it’s also a lot of fun when shooting empty beverage cans in your own garden.

With the correct — i.e. soft or bursting — balls and with a low-power bow, the B08 is very safe and, provided that eye protection is worn, can also be used safely indoors.

Warning: In its delivered condition the B08 is harmless enough to play paintball or to shoot at each other. However, always use protective equipment such as a suitable paintball mask. Also be sure to use balls suitable for paintball! The balls included in the delivery are not soft enough to rule out injury. The supplied safety goggles are not suitable for paintball because they can slip too easily and thus do not provide adequate protection.

With stronger launching arms and harder or heavier projectiles, the situation is entirely different and the B08 can become very dangerous. Use of the B08 in such cases is at your own risk. A B08 fitted with strong launching arms poses at least as significant a danger as a crossbow that fires arrows. And with some projectiles, especially steel balls, ricochets or gellers can be expected.

Warning: Outside the parameters specified by us, i.e. 35 lbs draw weight and soft balls, use of the B08 is at your own risk! We accept no liability for resulting personal injury or property damage, or for damage to the crossbow. With strong launching arms sufficiently heavy projectiles must be used, otherwise the slider or the crossbow can be damaged.

We recommend wearing adequate protective clothing during corresponding experiments and taking sufficient care regarding people, animals and other people's property. Ricocheting balls can — even hundreds of meters away — lead to death, serious injury or damage. Direct hits can be life-threatening, cause severe injury or result directly in death.

Warning: When selecting .68 balls, also observe the laws applicable in your country. Certain projectiles, e.g. irritant-filled balls such as PepperBalls™, may be subject to legal restrictions.

The B08 features a patented slider that gently accelerates and fires liquid- or powder-filled balls without damage. The slider is built very light and durable. When using stronger launching arms, pay attention to sufficient projectile weight. This applies even more to the B08 because many of the available .68 balls are very light. Using balls that are too light in relation to the launching arm leads to increased string wear and in the worst case to slider failure. The slider is available as a spare part.

Warning: The B08 is intended for use exclusively with irritant-filled balls, so-called PepperBalls™, “Less than Lethal”, i.e. with a very high probability not lethal. With hard or heavy balls the crossbow is potentially lethal and must be treated as such.

Side plates with integrated string damper, suitable for all AR-series crossbows.

The string dampers lead to a clean release of the arrow from the string and thus slightly increase precision. At the same time, however, a lot of residual energy is absorbed from the system, making the limb more forgiving towards arrows that are too light. String dampers are recommended from a draw weight of 90 lbs.

ATTENTION: Nevertheless, pay attention to the minimum arrow weight and avoid dry shots. When fitting, make sure that the screws on the side plates are not tightened more than hand-tight and never overtighten them.
